Fox Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Michael Fox of the Joplin Fireballs. Fox went on a tear at The Firepit and cracked hit after hit off Bronx pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 26-year-old second baseman had a career 5-7 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell 'em we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Fox got the accolades today, but the Bronx Bombers walked off the field with a 6-5 win. Michael Fox singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, singled in the 10th, flied out in the 13th and singled in the 15th. Batting .281 to date, Fox has 4 home runs and 31 RBIs. |
