Fireballs Larry Strafford Swings Hot Bat, BCL Winner Monday, July 31st, 2017 The marquee name in the Blake Camden League this week is Larry Strafford of the Joplin Fireballs. The hot-hitting 24-year-old second baseman put up a .519 average and .567 on-base percentage, piling up 14 hits in 27 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 9 runs scored. That kind of hitting got him the BCL Player of the Week honors. This year Strafford has hit at a .346 clip with 33 RBIs, 3 home runs and 44 runs scored. |
