Al Padgett Hurt, Out of Action Sunday, July 23rd, 2017 The Joplin Fireballs will have to make do without Al Padgett for 7 months. He suffered a broken kneecap while running the bases in the game today against the Detroit Death Stars. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the right fielder. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." So far this season Padgett is batting .319 with 19 home runs, 61 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 80 hits in 251 at-bats, 41 walks and a .413 OBP. Padgett has played in 64 games. |
