Parker Belts 5 Hits Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 Tony Parker exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Golden Fleece Park. The Mdewanketon left fielder had a field day in the 17-8 triumph over the Astoria Argonauts, finishing with a 5-6 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Parker must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Tony Parker singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ariel Goldberg in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. This season in 25 games, Parker has hit at a .413 clip with 31 hits, 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
