Pasadena Halts McConnell's Hitting Steak
Friday, August 5th, 2016
The Pasadena Bumblebees got more than a 4-2 victory over Astoria today at Golden Fleece Park. They put an end to Kevin McConnell's 20-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 2 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Argonauts first baseman.
McConnell seemed to feel more for his team than himself.
"I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today."
So far this season McConnell is hitting .300 with 16 home runs.
