BCL #1 Pitcher in September is Chicago's Callahan Thursday, October 1st, 2015 There's something about a young rookie winning the Blake Camden League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Elvis Callahan, a 23-year-old starter for the Chicago Titans. In September, he topped off the month with a 3-2 mark and 1.59 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 45.1 innings, fanned 63 and held opposing teams to a .183 average. This year Callahan has posted a record of 8 wins and 3 losses with a 2.16 ERA. He has appeared in 14 games and struck out 140 in 96 innings. |
