Morin Rocks Bulls for 3 HRs
Tuesday, June 9th, 2015
Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is something special to celebrate. And Claude Morin of Joplin can celebrate it. He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at The Firepit against the Durham Bulls.

In all he was 3-4 as the Fireballs toppled Durham 5-4, knocking in 3 runs and scoring 4 times.

Morin told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one."

His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air."

Claude Morin hit a solo-shot off David Cole in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Steve Coleman in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Kurt Wiggins in the 10th.

This year Morin is hitting .309, produced 35 RBIs and 12 home runs, scored 27 times and gotten on base at a .358 rate.
