Banditos Second Baseman Hernández Hurt Friday, May 29th, 2015 Watching Sancho Hernández getting helped off the field today at Bulldog Stadium, fans of the Acapulco Banditos feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the second baseman will miss 8 months with a broken kneecap. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Hernández suffered the injury colliding with a player at a base in the game against the Communists. This year Hernández is hitting .302, produced 19 RBIs and 2 home runs, scored 44 times and gotten on base at a .405 rate. |
