5-Hit Blitz by Reno's Turner Friday, October 17th, 2014 Raiders center fielder,Keith Turner, had his way with Indian Wells pitching today at Stars Field and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but it was all in vain. The Aeropostales ruined his great day by outscoring the Raiders 7-6. He told reporters after the game, "I had a great day, but you got to give Indian Wells credit, they did what they had to do to win the game. They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits after all is said and done. They did what they had to do -- win the game." The Aeropostales skipper added, "Oh, I think we noticed what Turner did today. He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Keith Turner singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th. Presently Turner is batting .271 with 39 hits and 10 home runs. He has knocked in 31 runs and scored 26 times. |
