Red-Hot Daniels Scorches Bombers
Thursday, October 2nd, 2014
It was a sensational day at the plate for Ernie Daniels, but a letdown as well as the Freedom dropped the game 7-6 to the Bombers.

Nonetheless the Philadelphia left fielder was pure misery for the Bronx pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win. That's the important thing," Daniels said.

The manager of the Bombers told BNN reporters after the game, "Daniels put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw him some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Ernie Daniels doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, flied out in the 9th and singled in the 10th.

For the season Daniels is batting .320 with 41 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 17 times and batted in 22.
