3 Roundtrippers for Cook
Tuesday, September 9th, 2014
Mark Cook went on a hitting rampage at Underdogs Ballpark today and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Sabercats to a 11-7 victory over the Acapulco Banditos.
The Mdewanketon first baseman collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 4 runs.
After his three-home run game he said this to the press: "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too."
Mark Cook singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Steve Weber in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Steve Weber in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Thomas Brown in the 9th.
Currently Cook is batting .282 with 21 home runs, 64 RBIs and 52 runs scored.
