Barrett Hurls Masterpiece Friday, June 20th, 2014 Pete Barrett of the Antioch Coal Miners was on fire against Pasadena. He shut them down 5-0 on 1 hit and no runs with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Barrett said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that." This season Barrett has a 6-3 record with a 3.73 ERA. |
