Joplin's Martínez to Miss 4-5 Months Monday, June 16th, 2014 The Joplin Fireballs announced this afternoon that reliever Juan Martínez would be out of action for 4-5 months. He sustained a bone spur in his elbow playing the Bumblebees. It happened throwing a pitch. This season Martínez has been credited with no saves. In 5 relief appearances and 22.1 innings he has a 0-1 won-lost mark, a 4.43 ERA and 17 strikeouts. |
