Astoria Stops Tucker's Hit Streak Monday, June 16th, 2014 The Astoria Argonauts got more than a 10-2 victory over Antioch today at Golden Fleece Park. They put an end to Franklin Tucker's 20-game hitting spree by holding him without a hit in 2 at-bats. But it was no big deal to the Coal Miners catcher. Tucker seemed to feel more for his team than himself. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit. I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." Tucker is currently hitting at a .385 pace with no home runs, 7 RBIs and has scored 3 times. |
