MR Mike van Houten Out Monday, May 26th, 2014 The Acapulco Banditos will lose the services of reliever Mike van Houten after he sustained a damaged elbow ligament while throwing a pitch in today's game against the Coronado Phantoms. "I'll get through it," van Houten said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for 13 months. This year van Houten has no saves, totaled 29.1 innings, allowed 28 base hits and fashioned a 5.52 ERA while racking up 33 strikeouts and a record of 5 wins and 1 loss. |
