5-Hit Game for Hutchinson Thursday, April 24th, 2014 It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Julian Hutchinson -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at Golden Fleece Park and paced the Argonauts to a 15-1 win over the Bronx Bombers. After his dynamite batting performance the Astoria third baseman told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Julian Hutchinson doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. |
