José Escobar Named BCL's Best Hitter Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 José Escobar went on a season-long hitting spree against Blake Camden League pitchers and captured the Silver Slugger Award for 2013. The Springfield first baseman battered the opposition for 218 hits, 51 doubles, 6 triples, 34 home runs, 108 RBI and 102 runs scored. He hit .348 and posted a .414 on-base percentage. |
