Gates Shines in Gem Sunday, May 19th, 2013 A masterful pitching performance carried the Bristol City Smugglers to a 4-0 victory over Acapulco. Andy Gates held them scoreless in a complete-game effort. He permitted 5 hits, had 6 strikeouts and allowed no walks. The skipper of the Banditos said, "Gates was sharp. We never did figure him out." This year Gates has compiled a 4-4 mark with a 4.74 ERA in 9 starts. |
