Communists SP Berroa Out Saturday, April 20th, 2013 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Birmingham Bobcats, Communists starting pitcher Nelson Berroa was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 11-12 months with a stretched elbow ligament. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Leningrad skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. In the current season in 6 starts, Nelson Berroa has a record of 3-1 with 33 strikeouts in 35 innings and a 2.57 ERA. |
