Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Smith Sunday, July 29th, 2012 Fans around the league are beginning to get interested in the Toreros 27-year-old first baseman Dan Smith. What is drawing all the attention is his 31-game hitting streak. Smith extended it again in today's game with the Evil Empire with 2 hits. But it wasn't enough. Los Angeles won the game 5-1. Dan Smith hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Currently Smith is batting .339 with 19 home runs and 85 RBIs. |
