Montgomery's Dempsey Acclaimed Best RCL Hitter Sunday, July 1st, 2012 When Curt Dempsey stepped up to the plate in June, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Roberto Clemente League Batter of the Month award. The young Montgomery shortstop posted a .364 batting average with 7 home runs, 29 RBIs and scored 30 runs. Dempsey also worked pitchers for 18 walks to post a .453 on-base percentage. Thus far this year Dempsey has hit .343 with 10 home runs and 46 RBIs. |
