Swap: Dowd for Short Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 The Baseball News Network is reporting that Dallas and Jacksonville have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 31-year-old second baseman Will Dowd to the Jacks with 28-year-old reliever Sid Short joining the Texans. Dallas's general manager would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league. So far this season Dowd has put up a .274 batting average with 106 hits, 5 home runs and 48 RBIs. This season in 11 relief appearances Short has thrown 5 innings and collected no saves. His won-lost record is 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA. |
