Prowlers Iuliano Suspended 10 Games for Banned Substance Saturday, July 28th, 2018 Oklahoma City starting pitcher Yvan Iuliano was suspended by the league for 10 games yesterday after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance. In announcing the suspension, the commissioner's office did not say why Iuliano was suspended. His failed drug test was confirmed by a baseball official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the specifics weren't included in the release. "I have no one to blame but myself," Iuliano said in a statement that did not explain how he ran afoul of baseball's drug rules. "I take full responsibility for my actions and accept the suspension. I used extremely poor judgment and deserve to be held accountable." His agent told BNN, "He is anxious to get back to work. I believe he'll be a better person and a better player moving forward." |
