Hops Chill Shafer's Hot Streak Saturday, July 14th, 2018 Millard Shafer of the Washington Capitalists came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 20-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Washington dropped the game to the San Diego Hops 4-1. In a postgame comment Shafer told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." This season Shafer is batting .313 with 8 home runs. His totals include 47 RBIs and 39 runs scored. |
