Blanchard Bashes 5 Base Hits
Monday, October 2nd, 2017
5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book. The latest honoree is Peter Blanchard of the Minnesota Berserkers.

Today he beat up their pitching to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it was the Seattle Sasquatch that salvaged a 13-6 victory at The Frozen Tundra.

"Blanchard was a tough out today," the Seattle manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure. I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win."

Speaking to the BNN writers, Blanchard added, "It was a real good day for me individually, but not a good one for the team. No loss is a good one."

Peter Blanchard hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Nathan Wilson in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 9th.

For the year Blanchard is batting .306 with 45 home runs.
