Brown, Stewart Receive 8-Game Suspensions Friday, September 15th, 2017 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's San Francisco-Cabo San Lucas contest at Golden Gate Park. The Earthquakes Rod Brown and the Toreros Brian Stewart will have to sit out 8 games for their part in the brawl. Brown is batting .274 with 29 home runs and 118 RBIs this season. This season Stewart has a 4-3 mark in 9 starts with a 5.07 ERA. He has given up 53 hits in 55 innings, struck out 36 and issued 19 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .254 batting average against him. |
