Amano Gets 5 Hits Saturday, July 29th, 2017 Who needs batting practice? Kiichi Amano of Seattle apparently doesn't as he battered Dallas with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 4-3 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Kiichi Amano singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Amano is batting .304 with 128 hits, 30 home runs, 83 RBIs, .363 OBP and has scored 70 runs. |
