Nelson Gets April's Top Pitcher Trophy Monday, May 1st, 2017 In April, Jake Nelson tore through the Thurman Munson League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 22 years old. The young Eureka starter posted a 3-0 mark and an ERA of 1.25 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 36 innings he collected 46 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .171 average. |
