New York Snaps Johnson's Streak at 22
Thursday, April 27th, 2017
Nick Johnson, third baseman for the Oklahoma City Prowlers, gave it a good try, but his day in history finally came to an end, when he went hitless in 4 tries against the New York Mafia. Not only had they stopped his 22-game hitting streak, they had beaten Oklahoma City 7-4, too.

Speaking with the media after the game, Johnson said, "Now that the streak has ended, I admit I will breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat. It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."

In 20 games this season Johnson has batted at a .378 pace with 31 hits and 3 home runs.
