2B Armando Rodríguez Out
Saturday, May 5th, 2012
The Kansas City Tornadoes were dealt a severe blow when Armando Rodríguez was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Mile High Mustangs. After the game, the team trainer reported Rodríguez might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 22-year-old second baseman out for the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. They indicated it would take Rodríguez at least 9-10 months to heal.
For the year Rodríguez has hit at a .281 clip with 16 RBIs, 1 home run and 15 runs scored.
