Razor-Sharp Clément Blanks Montreal Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled the Montreal manager after his club suffered a 9-0 shutout at the hands of Adrien Clément of the San Francisco Earthquakes. He held the Montreal Bandits scoreless in a 2-hit whitewash. Clément was in a zone of his own most of the game and finished with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. In a postgame quote his own skipper added, "He pitched his butt off, had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. Adrien did a whale of a pitching job." Checking out his season stats to date, Clément has 4 saves in 59 relief appearances with a 6-6 record and 3.98 ERA. |
