Bad News for Boston, R.J. Lukies Hurt Friday, July 29th, 2016 Injuries are something every team has to deal with. That fact struck home for the Cardinals when after today's game against the Mustangs, the club found out they would be without the services of R.J. Lukies for at least 7 months. After the game, his manager said of the incident, "You hate to lose anyone to injury. That's always a negative." Lukies was injured earlier today throwing a pitch and suffered a ruptured disc. To date Lukies has 6 saves with a 5-4 season record and a 3.17 ERA. He also has made 52 relief appearances, thrown 59.2 innings and struck out 60. |
