Shamrocks Stop Herman at 25 Sunday, May 29th, 2016 After 25 games, Joe Herman had his hitting streak ended abruptly today by South Bend at Don Corleone Park. The Mafia center fielder failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats and his brief fling with fame has come to a halt. But Herman seemed to care less -- it didn't matter as New York took a 2-1 victory from the Shamrocks. Herman didn't dwell on the streak saying, "It was good while it lasted. If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." In his stats this season, Herman has posted a batting average of .346 with 65 hits in 188 at-bats, 14 home runs and 45 RBIs. He has also scored 42 runs, walked 25 times and compiled a .426 OBP. |
