P.J. Baker Hurt, Out 4 Weeks
Wednesday, May 25th, 2016
P.J. Baker at first refused to leave today's Minnesota-Washington game after he suffered a sprained ankle while making a defensive play. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Washington center fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Baker out of action for 4 weeks.
A look at his current stats shows Baker with a .370 average, 13 home runs, 47 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has played in 45 games.
