Minnesota Reliever Out
Monday, May 23rd, 2016
The Minnesota Berserkers learned that Barry Johnson is likely to be out for 4 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Washington Capitalists. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be shoulder bursitis. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Minnesota manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Barry is back in action."

This season in 24 relief appearances Johnson has thrown 23.1 innings and collected 2 saves. His won-lost record is 1-2 with a 7.71 ERA.
