TML Honors Boston First Baseman Monday, May 2nd, 2016 One of the league's most exciting young players, José Escobar of the Boston Cardinals earned himself Thurman Munson League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 25-year-old first baseman had a lofty .448 average (13-29), collecting 6 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Escobar has a .355 average and a .400 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 38 hits, 8 home runs and driven in 17 runs. |
