So Cal LF Yánez Will Miss 6 Weeks Sunday, March 20th, 2016 Alfredo Yánez at first refused to leave today's Carolina-So Cal game after he suffered a strained groin muscle while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty So Cal left fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Yánez out of action for 6 weeks. |
