Gunner Smart Out for 3-4 Weeks Monday, June 29th, 2015 After the end of today's game between South Carolina and Jersey, Gunner Smart skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after colliding with a player at a base, the Bombers had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The third baseman will miss at least 3-4 weeks with an intercostal strain. So far this season Smart has gotten 54 hits in 206 at-bats for a .262 batting average with 12 home runs. His stats include 37 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has played in 57 games. |
