Marquis Week's Best Player Monday, June 8th, 2015 Ricardo Marquis of the Kansas City Tornadoes might have lost a step over the years, but the 35-year-old designated hitter can still get it done. He beat out several other worthy Thurman Munson League hitters over this past week to claim the Player of the Week Award. Marquis posted a .538 batting average with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs last week while scoring 4 runs. For the week he was 14 for 26. This season Marquis has banged out 45 hits in 151 at-bats for a .298 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .365 pace and his totals also include 19 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
