Chris Collins Out for 4 Weeks
Monday, May 25th, 2015
The Montreal Bandits learned that Chris Collins is likely to be out for 4 weeks after he injured himself making a defensive play in today's game against the Washington Capitalists. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a fractured thumb. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Montreal manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Chris is back in action."

In his stats this season, Collins has posted a batting average of .318 with 55 hits in 173 at-bats, 11 home runs and 39 RBIs. He has also scored 29 runs, walked 21 times and compiled a .393 OBP.
