Boston's Morris Injured, Out of Lineup Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 The Cardinals will be minus Dan Morris for about 4 weeks after the reliever suffered a hamstring strain while throwing a pitch in a recent game against San Francisco. Morris and the Boston skipper were hoping further examination might show there was less damage than originally thought and he would be absent a shorter duration. To date in the season, Morris is 0-1 with 16 relief appearances and no saves. He has held opposing batters to a .214 average, pitched 16.1 innings, struck out 19 and walked 10 while recording a 3.86 ERA. |
