Eureka Third Baseman Nets TML Award Monday, September 22nd, 2014 22-year-old Bob Hennessey made a few Eureka headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Thurman Munson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .480 average. Hennessey collected no home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 8 runs. This season Hennessey is batting .291 with 1 home run. |
