Week's Best Player Honored by RCL Monday, September 22nd, 2014 24-year-old Joe O'Neal sent shock waves through Adult Baseball League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, O'Neal made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .524 average, 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs and 9 RBI. Where the Nottinghamshire Outlaws center fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but O'Neal certainly made his mark last week. Presently O'Neal is hitting .300 with 5 home runs and 33 RBIs. He has played in 60 games and scored 27 times. |
