Outlaws Bob Rudyard Hurt Saturday, August 30th, 2014 The Nottinghamshire Outlaws were dealt a severe blow when Bob Rudyard was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the The Georgia Grays. After the game, the team trainer reported Rudyard might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 36-year-old starting pitcher out for the rest of the season with a torn labrum. They indicated it would take Rudyard at least 6 months to heal. To date this season Rudyard sports a 6-12 mark with a 4.50 ERA in 26 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .287 batting average and has 97 strikeouts in 136 innings. |
