July's RCL Batter of Month Award Announced Friday, August 1st, 2014 When Steve Frend stepped up to the plate in July, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Roberto Clemente League Batter of the Month award. The young Seattle right fielder posted a .412 batting average with 9 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 29 runs. Frend also worked pitchers for 25 walks to post a .536 on-base percentage. In his stats this season, Frend has posted a batting average of .370 with 95 hits in 257 at-bats, 20 home runs and 60 RBIs. He has also scored 71 runs, walked 59 times and compiled a .483 OBP. |
