TML Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, June 16th, 2014 There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Carlos Martínez, the Cabo San Lucas catcher, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week honors. Martínez piled up 10 hits in 19 at-bats, 4 home runs and 10 RBIs while hitting .526. This season Martínez is swinging the bat at a .265 rate with 57 hits in 215 at-bats. To date he has hit 15 home runs, scored 47 runs and driven in 50. |
