Thurman Munson League Names Rookie of Month Sunday, June 1st, 2014 Mark Reid is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In May the Jacksonville hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .288 average with 32 hits, 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. This season Reid is hitting at a .285 pace with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and has scored 12 times. |
