South Carolina-Dallas Fight Results in Suspensions Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 During a recent South Carolina-Dallas game at Bomber Ballpark, Fernando Guzmán of the Bombers and Joe McDowell of the Texans got into an altercation on the field and had to be separated from each other as the benches emptied. Both players knew they would have to face the music and today the league commissioner's office announced their punishments. They have been given 10-game suspensions because of their actions. So far this year, Guzmán is batting .238 with no home runs and 4 RBIs. McDowell has made 5 starts so far this year and put up a 1-2 won-lost record with a 5.79 ERA. In 28 innings he has allowed 32 hits, walked 10 and struck out 13. |
