Cabo San Lucas's Willie Patterson Injured Friday, September 6th, 2013 The Cabo San Lucas Toreros were dealt a severe blow when Willie Patterson was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the San Diego Hops. After the game, the team trainer reported Patterson might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 30-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a sprained ankle. They indicated it would take Patterson at least 4 weeks to heal. This season Patterson has claimed 3 saves and registered a 5-1 record with a 3.02 ERA. He has 73 relief appearances spanning 80.1 innings and has struck out 73. |
