Jokers Pitching Ravaged by Milford Sunday, August 4th, 2013 During a player's career, there are days that stand out and this day was definitely special! Clement Milford went 5 for 5 against the Las Vegas Jokers at The Nest and the Hornets picked up a 10-0 victory. "What a day!" he said. "We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" "He was patient up there today," the Eureka skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Milford has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes." Clement Milford singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This season Milford is hitting .335 with 53 hits, 2 home runs, 20 RBIs, scored 30 runs and played in 40 games. |
